Thank you for sharing your story. I attended Providencia in West Palm Beach for a year, and I’ve never felt so lucky (now living in L.A.). It’s very white, but as you’ve outlined, community exists there. And there remains a persistent effort to bring people in, which made all the difference. I’m sorry you didn’t get to experience such a community from the church body, but I’m glad you received support from other women of color. I’m also glad you’re still holding on to your faith.
