how many tears

does your wife

have to cry

before you assume

responsibility

who broke you

enough and so young

that you had to hide

yourself in pills

and in between

bathrooms tiles

i’m angry with you

but I want to

forgive you all the same

to hug the child

within/hidden inside

the man waiting

to free himself

i’m sorry so sorry

you never got to be

you and so the

weight of past is left

hanging off you

like a hangnail

please don’t hang

yourself i’m sorry

so sorry for my

anger but I

want you to

live I want

you to live I

want you to

live even if

you don’t live

how you existed

before even if

they never forget

I want you to

live I want

you to live I

want you to live

I want you to live.

you deserve to live.
