I.

i miss you, we say. then i climb the plane to somewhere. baby, i can’t touch you with all this elevation.

II.

maybe the tears are hormones — triggered by a thing

partly woman. i’m mostly aching, aching for you.

i want to crawl inside you; make a home in you.

i’d stand out in the sun for you. lick the desert

floor for miles. tell me you need me, too — this bad.

III.

power of now, they say. power of now.

lead me back to the stars instead. flash of light. throw me back into the sky, let me fall down as rain.

IV.

new choice; new avatar.

V.

jesus is a stage performer. i want to make a man

need me. i am salvation without grace.

VI.

i plant a garden. i see death and multiplicity. this is it. this is life. this is living. the sky is endless. break it. chew it.

VII.

this is forever.
